Types of Mobile Ringtones
A ringtone is simply the sound created by a phone to signal an incoming message or phone call. Not an actual tone nor a sound any longer, the word is mostly used these days to describe customized sounds typically used on cell phones. As the name suggests, ringtones are unique sounds that are created and assigned to a specific unit (usually the phone’s speaker). They are considered a private sound and can only be played by the owner of the unit.
Ringtones have come a long way since their early and relatively primitive beginnings. It can be annoying at times but it also helps to distinguish which ringtone is which. Many cell phones allow you to turn off the ringtone ringer so that you don’t have to hear it when you miss a call. This can also help when you travel because you won’t get annoyed every time somebody calls you.
Ringtones are available in several different sizes, styles, and price ranges. Finding ringtones that suit your personal taste and style should be easy. Just remember to research all the ringtone options before making your final selection. Most callers appreciate unique ringtones that make them feel special and let them know that the phone is owned by someone special.
